I Must Apologize

I am sorry for my inattentiveness to the blog over the past few weeks. Things have gotten really busy for me (again), and this is something that had to be sacrificed. In a week and a half, I will answer all of your questions and comments. Until then, keep commenting and please leave everything on the most recent post. It is an unfortunate part of the blog setup, so if you want people other than me to notice your comment, post on the latest thread.

Happy watching,
LAiAC. (Really, he is. I still believe it.)

oh my Gods! They're ALL cylons!

Okay so I'm watching the opening of our boxing episode, and starting wondering about the whole "projecting" thing. Also wondering about the "five models we never speak" of thing.

On second veiwing... counted exactly how many people were having flashbacks. Now flashbacks aren't necessarily "projecting", but they could be. Six mentioned previously she would project to a place in the woods on Caprica she enjoyed visiting.

Sooooo.... the number was five. They show us with the camera who is actually thinking about each scene we view. In every case but one, they clearly show whose mind we are peeping in on. First Lee, and then starbuck. Then we get chief and Tigh. Fifth is Laura. There is one time when both Laura and Bill Adama are shown at ringside, when I really thought we were listening to Adama's mind, but they show both at the end if the flashback, not confirming whose it was. But anther was clearly Laura, and none ended with the camera pointed at Adama alone.

What if they are all cylons. I mean, we know Lee is. Sharon kept telling Starbuck they knew of her and she was special... now that sounds like "One of the Five" to me. The chief? Well isn't he the one crewmember, other than sharon, who has questioned whether he was a cylon? Wasn't he told.... yes you're a cylon? I mean it wasn't leoben, but that priest cylon seemed reasonably honest. Tigh? Never would have guessed... but first chance he got he did install marshall law. Okay Tigh is tough. So is Laura. If the writers are paying attention... seems like her cylon blood should have made her cancer-proof.

Welll so "The Five" are deep cover sleeper cell cylons.. all surrounding Adama, the human one, who for some reason was recognized as the ultimate threat. They don't all make sense.... but it's a bit too much of a coincidence that I went back looking for five projectors... and that's the number I got.

Gaius? Oh... well that's his internal six projecting.

Well.... two shows to go!

Yikes. I don't know if they're all cylons. Or if any are cylons, just because they had a flashback.

I agree that it's likely that the remaining five are sleeper agents, although I don't know if the show would hold up if they placed five cylons among the main cast and crew.

Lee's exposure to the virus two episodes ago and his apparent clean bill of health raise some serious issues about his cylonhood.

Starbuck couldn't be, else they wouldn't have gone after her eggs and Leoben wouldn't have tried to get her to love him. Ditto Helo.

Can't be chief, as he and Cally had a baby, and if one of them is a cylon, then wouldn't the cylons have made a big stink to get their baby?

Tigh -- well, there's no evidence to rule it out without a major hole in the plot. But they did take his eye. And he was in a loving relationship with his wife (for about 5 minutes every day) until he poisoned her, which is the most persuasive evidence against him being a toaster.

As for Laura, that's just silly. How could she be a cylon? Didn't she have cancer? And was cured by cylon hybrid baby blood? While it's remotely possible that it could have been the human part of the blood that saved her, it just seems far-fetched.

And as for the Admiral -- why did Boomer try to kill him? If he was a cylon, presumably they'd just active him and it'd be game over for galatica.

So who does that leave us with?

Baltar, who I've always thought gets blown up in the miniseries (the scene is always reproduced in the starting sequence). If not a cylon, there's something going on with him.

Key extras, like Doc Cottle (could have killed half the crew many times but didn't), Kat (no evidence one way or another, but I honestly wouldn't care), Hot Dog (ditto), Seelix (wasn't she also exposed to the virus?), Gaeta (interesting, but again, it wouldn't really hit home), Zarek (nah...), and that brings us to Dualla.

First of all, I don't care what she is, I just want to see more. She's hot as hell and never seems to get many chances to show off her looks or her acting abilities. Now, she would be an interesting cylon, if only because she's married to Lee and might want to kick his ass after the whole Starbuck thing.

Anyway... we'll just have to wait and see.

Don't forget that the seven Cylons we know aren't aware of who the final five are.

Is it really true that they don't know? I just thought they "didn't speak of them". If they didn't know... then seems like they would be suspicious that baltar was a cylon. Actually, I guess someone would have known... after all the 12 models were created by cylons.. right?

We know the "new" models are more advanced... has anyone ever actually stated who created the new models? I mean, new vs. the Centurians.

What if.... the cylons were created by an entity other than cylon, whom they refer to as the cylon God... the one true god! Seems like that would be about the only way for not even a few cylons to know the identities of the FIVE.
