Oi Vey.

I have been overwhelmed with business, but fear not! I have been watching the stories unfold.

Leobon did lie, this is true. I'm going to have to think about this for a bit. Maybe a metaphorical "our child" like Six and Baltar? He went into too much detail for that, though. "They salvaged your ovaries, I fertilized them, and then...this is your daughter." I'll look at that dialog again.

Interesting thing to note--Gaeta is doodling in the opening sequences of the episode. He has drawn a sword and what appears to be part of a tree. I can't think of a direct significance, but maybe one of you can.

Going back to a previous episode, Roslyn says that Hera may very well be "the shape of things to come"--a line taken directly from Six's dialog with Gaius on Kobol. The priestess in that episode was incredible. "Mm...Kamallah so bitter..."

That's all I've got time for now...it's time to get the nose back to the grindstone. Hopefully I'll be able to play catch-up sometime and give you a full exposition on episodes past. Until then, feel free to discuss!

yea!

Well I'll add one.... the "shape of things to come" was also Adama's line to Gaius in his dream on kobold... when Adama tried to drown the baby.

sword and a tree?? That also has to do with babies, or should I say one child.

In greek mythos the tree is Myrrha…. Wait. What was the caretaker’s name again? It was close to this name… but I had imagined it spelled more like “Mayan“. Let’s see…. Myrrha becomes a tree after having relations with her father… who was intoxicated at the time, and then becoming pregnant. Then her father, tears the tree asunder in anger… or the bark of the tree, with a sword. A tree and a sword, and a “Myrrha”. That name sounds really familiar…. One of the characters is using this name right?

So guess who the child born from the tree is? One named “Adonis, The“. Hmmmm. It’s Aphrodite who turned Myrrha into the tree, by the way…. Though there are really many different versions of how all this came to pass, some of which do not include a tree or a sword. Hmmmm….. “Adonis”…. “Adama”,…. hmmm. I guess they couldn’t be talking about Lee now… maybe if the Pillsbury dough boy finds his way into the mythos.

Okay check this out. Aphrodite takes the child Adonis, and assigns Persephone, Queen of the Underworld, to raise him. Okay, given our child is a female, right?, the story will change. But does that make D’Anna/ Xena = Persephone since she has taken custody? In the mythos Persephone and Aphrodite eventually battle over the attractive youth… which may be foreshadowing a battle royal between D’Anna and either sharon or Six, depending on who is playing Aphrodite. If Aphrodite gives the child to Persephone, and Six kind of gives the child to D’Anna. It’s a case for Six as Aphrodite.

Well thanks for the info on the sword and the tree! Sounds like RDM is passing extra treats to us, or is he just tricking us? Definitely fun stuff!

oh yeah, and by the way. This means starbuck probably still has her ovaries. She never got that scar checked did she?

She still has at least one ovary, or there would have been unmistakeable side-effects. She's probably missing the other one.

We've decided earth is where we want to live.

First the cylons, humanity's children, want to wipe out humanity, then they want to have babies with their "parents", then take care of and control them.... now they want to move back home?!

"...and they have a plan". I 've decided Leobon must have written that.

Your original arguement was that Leobon said Adama is a cylon, and that Leobon does not lie, therefore Adama is a cylon. But we now know that Leobon lies. So now following the constraints of sylogistic logic it now stands to reason that the certainty of Adama's Cylonism is dubious.
