I am starting to wonder where they are going with this series. I know next comes the Pegasus. I hope Dr.Zee does not show up after that.

A) Glad to finally be done with the Kobol-Coup-Rift story cycle.

B) Loved the use of the theme music from the original series.

C) Glad to see that your list of models does not include Centurians, Raiders, or Basestars

D) Cally should be on the Cylon-Elect portion of the list.

E) I missed why Dee and Gaeta are mutually exclusive, if either is a Cylon at all...

A) The Kobol story had its own finer points, but just like any good visit to an amusement park, it had to end.

B) Touche.

C) There's just not enough room for all of the known human-forms if you go with that.

D) I'll hold off on that one for now. Maybe she can be on there with three question marks.

E)They stand right next to each other. They pretty much are in the same place at the same time and get the same information shot at them. Why bother with both?

I used to like the idea of the Centurian and/or ships being on the list, but it doesn't seem as likely anymore.

Six should obviously be in the sixth position in the list. :)

The Doctor on Caprica is Simon.

I wonder about Gaius's mental deterioration as the series progresses. This bazaar sort of hovering around the reporter, pacing back and forth hoping to be recognized, seems very different from Gaius the cool hand poker player, Gaius the rock star VP election winner, or Gaius the enforcer taking out Crashdown on Kobol. His personality seems to be changing rather than just plain crazy. Since he "became a man" on Kobol, there's very been very little interaction with anyone except for Six, and she's getting pretty overbearing, It's like she's changing too, less and less a lover and more like a mother figure. His rebellions against Six are getting weaker, and he gets less and less able to deal with other people. Seems to me like Six's increasing dominance of Gaius is making him less likely to be able to carry out her plans of protecting the child.

Hard to tell if a real change is taking place... or if the writers are just occupied by other characters lately, but the further we go t he less cylon-like he becomes. I still don't see him as a cylon... at this point a toaster would have smoke coming out of it's ears.

How about yet another hidden in plain view clue. The reporter Deanna says "what a strange little man", as Gaius walks away. Just like Six at the beginning of the season, I think that by calling him a man, we are being told that: he is a man. Maybe we are seeing his mental slide here too. At the beginning of the season he had become a man. Now he is a strange little man.

Notice who keeps calling him a "man"? Cylons.... Six and Deanna. Okay, they would know. But maybe there is also another clue not quite hidden in plain sight: The next person who refers to Gaius as a "man" in some fashion... I think that person will be a cylon.

Unless she's drunk, in which case it's just Ellen.

So, there at the end.... did it seem like one of those four was in charge? It did to me.... just a little bit. Seemed like Sharon was leading that meeting.

In the miniseries, right at the end.... a bunch of cylons are walking into a big space and they reveal Sharon as a cylon for the first time. She says something kind of assertive, and as the screen fades we hear.... "by you command"... as if she was the one in charge.

That's from the old series... and in the commentary track all he says is they decided to stick that in just to include an original series catch phrase.

But after this last friday, I get the feeling that Sharon is the lead cylon. I thought Six didn't like her.

that's all. Good reasoning on Gaeda and Dee being mutually exclusive. I also liked hearing that music.... the cleaning guy whistling the theme leads into the full version... seemed like an end of the season finale' sort of moment... luckily not. This must mean we get to see Sharon's Baby?... she's what the future looks like.

By the way, Xena the reporter's name was "D'Anna Biers".

They probably have to do with the 12 colony worlds, and by association the 12 astrological signs, which are, for reference:
♈ - Aries (The Ram):
♉ - Taurus (The Bull):
♊ - Gemini (The Twins): Boomer, obv.
♋ - Cancer (The Crab):
♌ - Leo (The Lion):
♍ - Virgo (The Virgin):
♎ - Libra (The Balance):
♏ - Scorpio (The Scorpion): Whichever one was on the Anchorage, I forgot.
♐ - Sagittarius (The Archer): Apollo, if he is, which I still have my doubts on.
♑ - Capricorn (The Horned Goat):
♒ - Aquarius (The Water): Gaius?
Ļ - Pisces (The Fish): Number Six? (Fish swims in waters lolz)

As for the others, I'm at a loss.

Scratch that, Leoben is the Scorpion. Or maybe the Balance (between lies and truth). Or maybe the Crab (because he's a Cancer?).

Shit.

This is hard.

I think it is more likely that they relate to the Lords of Kobol (Apollo=Apollo, Six=Aphrodite). This would require some research into which Greco-Roman gods are being used for the Lords of Kobol.

If forced to choose between Cally, Dee and Gaeta, my money is on Dee. A prior poster pointed out that "Cylons have more fun." And Dee seems to be doing just that considering her "moment" with Lee and her ongoing love interest in Billy. If Billy gets her into an "indelicate" condition it's a done deal... 100% Cylon.

Why not Cally? Well, I hate to be sexist but she lacks the Cylon physical "perfection" seen in Boomer, D'Anna and Six. Just one mouse's opinion...

Ellen is a Cylon. I don't see the point in debating it. My only complaint is that no-one else thought it was queer how she just "turned up" on the Rising Star.

As far as Cylon rank structure... I didn't get the impression that Sharon was running that "meeting." D'Anna seemed to be in charge. Also, "By your command" was what the Centurions would respond when the Imperious Leader gave an order. Sharon's response of the same indicates she is an inferior taking orders.

I dunno how far you can go drawing parallels between the 12 Cylon models and the Greco/Roman pantheon. In most sci-fi the allegorical elements are loose, not strict.

The cylon Adama is the Commander, not the son. Watch espisod 2x09 Flight of the Pheonix to see the scene that convinced me.

When Sharon sends the virus, Adama orders the officers to "return this thing to its cell."

At that moment, if you look closely, you will see Adama's lips flash a quick smile from the right corner. Sharon reurns this quick smile with her left corner.

Epsiode 2xo2 Valley of Darkness, near the start, shows aone of the Cylon metal robots about to kill Lee but a marine blows the robot's head off before it can gut Lee with its claws.

If Lee were a cylon would the robot try to kill him...? Probably not, it knew Godfrey/Number 6 the hot blonde with some.

The Cylon Adama is the father/Commander, not the son.

When Sharon shot the commander, if she really wanted him dead she would have shot him in the head... her progamming made her wound, not kill him. It's definitely the commander or it sure looks like it.

I dont understand how Lee Adama can be a cylon. As I understand it, and as RDM has stated, the cylons did not make copies of living humans. Lee Adama has gone from birth to now, presumably with his father playing a mahor role in his life. You have to put all potential human cylons in a logical timeframe of "When did the first successful human cylons begin to role off the assembly lines?" I would guess sometime in the last 5/10 years before the attack. So Admiral Adama is not a cylon, therefore Lee can not be a cylon. Ellen Tigh cannot be a cylon, presumably she has known/been married to Tigh since shortly after the end of the Cylon war (and before Human Cylons were created). Then you have to look at it logically. Baltar can't be a cylon, otherwise why bother seducing him using number six to give up defense secrets? Helo can't be a cylon, otherwise the Hybrid Child story makes no sense. Laura isn't a cylon, presumably Baltar or Cottle would have noticed similar anomalies in her blood as seen in the baby's blood. The most likely candidate for being a human cylon is Starbuck. I order my evidence from weakest to strongest.
1) The "Two Years" curse, a running theme in the human cylons that indicates that active preparation for the attack began two years previously. Six started going with Baltar two years ago, Sharon joined the crew of the BSG two years ago. Starbuck met Adama at Zak's funeral TWO YEARS AGO

2) Nobody can account for her birth/childhood. She has no parents in the fleet, only an implanted story about being abused as a child. She met Lee and Zak at flight academy, or met Lee through Zak. And then (possibly inadvertantly, possibly as a result of programmed behavior in a sleeper agent) killed Zak Adama.
3) Every cylon she has encountered one on one has msteriously known her name. Leobon, Delphi Six, and Simon have all called her "Starbuck".
4) Her special treatment at the Farm. Rather than being hooked up to a machine immediately, like Sue Shaun, she was put in a nice comfy bed and treated like a human, asked if she wanted to be a mother ("Nobody asked Sue Shaun if she wanted a baby...") The Cylons don't treat humans like, well, equals. They treat them like animals. Then something Sharon says after Starbuck escapes. "They would have set you up with someone nice." A nice human, perhaps? Like Sharon was set up with Helo by the Cylons? Humans, as far as I could tell, weren't "set up" with anyone, they were plugged into machines. Meanwhile, Starbuck has just fallen in love with a nice human, Sam Anders.
5) Other than Sharon, she is the only human who has been able to fly,or even activate the Cylon Raider.

1st rule in writing cheesy TV shows -- always produce the most dramatic result, regardless of facts or preconditions.

Have to agree, it's totally Adama. People have to remember that this series is ficitional and the writers can of course do whatever they wish, but they tend to go in the direction of the most dramatic(one low-light was the Helo "you cant do that on TV!" cause it's genocide episode), and they've certianly been hinting in Adama's direction.

That being said, if you ask me, by the simple rule I just stated, it won't be the old man. They'll push you and push you in that direction until it's finally revealed that the 5th and final cylon is:

LEE ADAMA

Gods, can you imagine the 90210-style dramatic fall-out from that one !? The old man would work, but Lee would be too juicy to pass up, and I don't think the writers will be able to resist. I mean just the plot line of the old man having to cope with a cylon as a son, the death of his one son prior, his failed marriage etc., may cause people's heads to explode.

I think in the end, it will be revealed everyone on some level has cylon blood -- the whole "everything is happening again" plotline. That is, they'll find earth, the cylons will be destroyed but not without revealing everyone is a cylon on some level (through half-bloods mixing in the general gene pool), and they'll return to Kobol. Then they'll destroy all evidence that they have any cylon bloodline connections, and the cycle can be repeated for them to return as the 12 tribes/colonies once the whole radiation thing goes away on the planets (circa +4000 years). Repeat as necessary.
