Comrade
Before I address the tense moment between a charging centurion and a frozen Apollo, let's fast-forward towards the end of the last episode. Two centurions are running down the hall to aft damage control. As soon as they see humans, they start firing like mad with total disregard for the casualties. Back to the beginning of the episode--one centurion is headed straight for Apollo at a dead run. He doesn't fire. Coincidence? Or just comeraderie....

But we've seen that the Cylons are willing to sacrifice themselves to maintain someone's cover, such as with C-Boomer shooting Six, or with G-Boomer blowing up a basestar full of Boomers.
I think it was either a coincidence, or the Centurion was running low on ammo and wanted to slash him. Or maybe that Centurion likes slashing people. Afterall, (I think) this was the Centurion that had just opted to slash Flyboy open instead of just opening fire.
Ahh, no but's about it!
I think you should have said "You're right, we've seen that the Cylons...".
The plan is more important than their lives, obviously. They were willing to sacrifice a whole Basestar after all!
And finally, choosing between shooting Lee and slashing the loudmouth?...well, you pick. :)
