Lee is a Cylon (No, Really)

Two great quotes I noticed Friday night... The first was actually from "Pegasus", but was stuck in the "previously" scenes. Lee says to Kara, "Go take some pretty pictures of our Cylon ship." During this past episode, Tyrol and Helo were talking to Lee; Helo says, "The Cylons used to be our enemy." Lee replies, "Now it's us."

This "we" talk is very tricky...it seems that only suspected Cylons do this. The rest refer to it as "the Cylon" or "their" this-or-that. Pay attention to the possesive forms.

Well now I've thought of something... see he did tell Starbuck "our" cylon ship. I've never been in the starbuck-is-a-cylon camp... but I keep thinking that it might be the most amazing plot twist. In fact, if I voted on the one character least likely to be a cylon, it would be starbuck. Which is the best reason to think she is a cylon. But ya know, that doctor on Caprica kept trying to talk starbuck into having kids.... wouldn't make any sense for him, a cylon, to do that if he knew she was a cylon.

Lee says "our" and we of course know that Lee Adama is a Cylon. What if Kara is something else... not human or cylon, but instead what if she was the result of the first attempt by the cylons at human/cylon breeding, something they tried before the invasion. Might explain her father's suspected abuse, he loved her but knew something was amiss? Explains why all the cylons know who she is and say she's "special". And explains why she's such a great fighter pilot.

Lee then can use the word "our" and he's cylon, she's half cylon.... it fits! The doctor wanted her to consider having a baby, but to create a second generation. It also makes sense of Sharon's bizaare conversation with starbuck about having a baby.... "it could be with someone you like" or something like that.... that conversation never made sense... but Sharon (and the doctor) really meant starbuck mating with a human.

Hey I think I'm convincing myself!!

Her mother was the abuser. Her father was a musician, her mother a soldier. I do not believe that the Biocylons have been around long enough for there to be adult hybrids.
Lee is so totally a Cylon, and you can read some quality fics on the subject here: http://s14.invisionfree.com/Galactica_Actual/index.php?showtopic=321 and here: www.worlds-of-wonder.com/search.php?action=recent (the ones entitled Dradis Special)

I'm sticking with my original theory on that... her father the musican also abused her, at least once, breaking all her fingers in the same place by slamming the piano lid on them. Just reading between the lines, I think that's what the show was trying to tell us when the cylon doctor reveals the injury soon after we learn about her father's music, and we see the reaction of starbuck to questions from the cylon doctor... she still loves her father despite the way he was. Hopefully somehow all this this will play back into a future plot line.

With each passing episode, I am more and more an LAIAC believer. In fact, if it turns out he's not a Cylon, I'll go on national television and play Mary had a Little Lamb on the bagpipes... nekkid even...

I think Starchild is right w/regard to Starbuck's mom being the abuser, but I don't think her father had any part in it. I would bet 50 credits that her mom resented her father's artistic abilities and when Starbuck began to show the same talent, her mom was the one that slammed her fingers in the piano. I'm going to bet another $50 credits that Starbuck's father died when she was very young... probably before she was 5....
... just one man's theory...

Peace!
